Crowns

A long-term method of restoring a tooth. They restore teeth to their normal shape and size, while both strengthening and improving their appearance. It is a custom made restoration that completely covers your tooth. You may need a crown if your tooth is fractured or cracked, an old crown or filling has failed, you have had root canal treatment or for cosmetic reasons.

Placing a crown requires two dental visits. During the first visit, the teeth are shaped to receive the crown. After taking an impression of the prepared tooth, a temporary crown is placed for a week allowing the lab to create the permanent crown. On the second visit, the temporary crown is replaced with the permanent crown and the bite is checked and any adjustment is performed if needed.
